Cloves — Bold, Sweet & Unforgettable
One clove perfumes an entire pot. Rich, sweet, and intensely spiced — cloves appear in Christmas baking, Indian biryani, mulled wine, and Moroccan tagines. Unforgettable in every direction.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Cloves are the most intense spice in this collection — one can perfume an entire dish. Rich, sweet, and deeply warming, they appear wherever comfort and depth are needed: Christmas baking, Indian biryani, Indonesian rendang, Moroccan tagines, mulled wine, and more. They cross cultures effortlessly because what they offer is universal — a sweet-spiced warmth that feels ancient and grounding.
The flavour is bold, sweet, and slightly astringent, with a numbing warmth from eugenol — the compound also responsible for their distinctive medicinal aroma. Whole cloves are for slow cooking and infusing; ground cloves are for baking and spice blends. Use with a restrained hand. A little delivers a lot.
